So from Springer to Hot Springs I've been testing out 4 major brands of socks. I gotta say Balega Socks are hands down the best. Why haven't more hikers heard of them. All my triathlon friends swear by them and now so do I. (the 4th day of wearing them and realizing wow I been wearing the same socks and they still haven't flattened out)

I'm guessing because most hikers prefer wool...I know I do.

Didn't see them on their website...in fact their website was not very thorough at all. So, in that vein, I have no idea. I've never heard of them.

Probably because they're marketed towards runners. Here's a comparison of socks, including balega. The article is geared towards running.

Although I own Balega wool socks, I primarily wear the hidden comfort model. No blisters, they dry quickly, and they last a long time.
