Trail Magic, the beer

Nantahala Brewing in Bryson City just released their newest Trail Magic special edition beer, #13. This one is a sour fruit ale with strawberries and rhubarb. It's pretty freaking delicious if you like sour ales. :)

I'm a sucker for anything with a white blaze on it, and I love beer, so this was a pretty good combo.

I'm not a fan of ales but that bottle label is real cool . It's worth a try and I'd definitely partake. Is Nantahala brewery beer only sold locally in N.C. ?

As far as I know, it's only local sales. I hadn't seen it before this at my local bottle shop in Winston-Salem. If you don't like ales, then I'd probably recommend against a sour, but you never know, it might be the gateway to a whole new life. :) But at $18 a bottle, it's not a cheap thrill. (With sour ales, you are paying for the long term barrel aging.)
