They are a new company who is making a new line of backpacker foods. I carried a variety at our hostel in April. Here is a link to Harmony House Foods based (http://harmonyhousefoods.com/BACKPACKING-Soup-Chili-Kit-18-ct_p_2059.html) in Franklin, NC - You can actually order it on line.

These are good stuff. I got the backpacker's sampler of veggies and it's a great way to add some nutrition and variety to your meals.

I bought their backpacking kit, with beans, corn, carrots, celery, etc. Pretty good. I'll have to look into the soup mixes now.

I have tried their dried vegetables and they are good, however, they require a longer boil time and you will use more fuel/gas for your stove.

Ron, I've lost all respect for you selling TVP. Hydrolyzed, autolyzed, and textured.... I don't think my body would know what that Frankenfood is...

There's no reason not to eat real food, instead of this tripe.

I did not see edible lining from the stomachs of various farm animals in the ingredients, I thought TVP was a soy based product.

This was my experience also. Just adding boiling water and setting in a coozie wasn't enough. I had to boil for a few minutes then coozie.

you can also soak them ahead of time in cold water and then drain and add boiling water.

I found I have to soak the dehydrated veggies for 6 to 8 hours before cooking them. It helps quite a bit to prevent hard beans and peas. I found the veggie soup mix had too much celery, so use it as an add on to Knorr Pasta sides.

That would make this some of the heaviest dehydrated food on earth.

Nah, half a pint of water in a small plastic peanut butter jar when you stop for lunch rehydrates them pretty good.
