I've been surfing the internet for more photos/information on the Sea to Summit UltraSil Nano Poncho...NOT the Tarp version. I carry a 35L pack and wondering if this smaller/lighter version would cover. An emergency poncho covers my pack but I feel a draft ;) I also saw an old post where someone had the tarp version that weighed in at 6.5oz instead of 8...is that common? 6 ounces is about the limit I'm willing to carry for a poncho.

The specs on their website seem odd on the length and width. Even so, 8 oz is very light for a poncho.

I have an Exped Bivy Poncho UL and it has about 12oz.
The material is so thin and light that I'm having troubles handling it with my clumsy worker hands.
Can't imagine that there is a poncho at 6oz?

According to S2S it is 145g, just under 6 oz. Note 15d silnylon

the somewhat similar Exped day pack/poncho, also 15d, is listed at 8.8 oz.

But I don't know the real weights...

The one I'm looking at says 55x46 (5.1oz) while the popular tarp version is 57x104 (8.1oz). I am guessing the first set of dimensions are folded in half, perhaps total length of 92. An emergency poncho is 40x80 I believe, for comparison.

Just wondering if if anyone has this S2S poncho so I can see a photo on a real person not just the one and only stock photo available.

I had a look at one of the S2S ponchos the other day. It was hanging up but displayed in a way that was hard to just try on .
Hanging there the dimensions (55"x 42.5") looked to me to match the one on their web site .
So you could drape something over you of that size and see how it fits.
(my guess is that the guy in the official photos is about 5'10")
I think the very low weight is from the minimalistic stitching at the seams.
(I have the poncho tarp version but in heavier silnylon. I don't use it)

I came across them at a good sales price, bought both and will return one.
