G'day guys - back and planning for next year after hurting my back in late 2014. Ruled out 2015 and this year was my daughters last year at high school, so off to uni next year and I'm free. Already have a 5 year visa so now I start planning.

Water bottle lids - I know doesn't sound like much but I use the Source drinking tubes and usually carry a couple of 1 - 1 1/2 lt bottles and a collapsible nalgene canteen to use with a sawyer squeeze. What is the standard size of water bottles in the states - Pet lid? Reason I ask is because it used to be the only size in oz but we are now getting a slightly larger one. Here is the link to the source convertor tube http://sourceoutdoor.com/en/source-accessories/154-convertube-sawyer-filtering-kit - this is the new one with the sawyer filter built in.

Like just being able to throw the bottle out when it gets crusty and buy another or use a coke bottle etc, as well as I find I drink more when I use a tube for drinking.

Thanks in advance.
JJ

thoise bottle use 24mm threads. Source also makes an adapter to fit the 63mm threads of Nalgene type bottles and 42mm internal threads like Klean Kanteen -- http://sourceoutdoor.com/en/bottles/22-convertube-hydration-system

If you were set up a dirty bladder--->Sawyer Filter--->Clean bottle using those Convertube fittings to connect your clean bottle, is there a vent built into the to release air as your clean bottle is filled? Without a vent, air pressure would quickly stop the water flow....
