VT to Greylock

I have some time off at the end of this summer and have about a seven day window of opportunity to hike SB from Vermont. I'd like to end the hike at Mt Greylock in MA.

I know everyone has their own pace but if you had seven days to hike SB to Greylock, where in Vermont would you choose to start your hike?

I'm trying to get a rough idea of where in VT I should get on the trail.
