Hi! In Franklin taking the evening off. At the lazy hiker brewery drinking beer and waiting for the food truck to open.

Biggest lesson so far... Don't worry! I was so concerned about my pack weight, if I had the right gear, etc etc etc. You'll figure everything out. Don't stress.

That sounds like a great place to be! As for me, I'll be leaving work soon.

Boy does it ever....
I am thinking about A SHT trip in September just to fix the jones until next march.
I will have to see financially where I am at by then but considering I am over half way to my goal of 5000 for the trip then I think I will be fine if I can keep from buying gear all the time lol.
And yes awesome pictures thanks so much for sharing.

Thank you for making me want to quit my job, cash out my 401k, and throw my pack in the cargo hold of a Greyhound bus to Georgia.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing.

Surprised to see so many hammocks. Has hanging become that commonplace on the AT?

These are great pictures! Yes, please. What equipment are you using for these beautiful pictures. I just did a sobo section through tinker cliffs, and McAfee knob, and there were a pretty good number of hammocks.

Thanks for the nice feedback everyone! For camera equipment I have a Canon 70D(shooting video for a documentary), 10-18mm lens and 50mm prime. Editing with light room on my phone. Trailpix tripod. Peak design capture pro to hang the camera on my pack at quick access.

Classy camera ....way out of my price range, plus I'd be too concerned about the wet-humidity factor...great shots though!

A good camera does not make a good photographer. You, sir, are a good phototgrapher. Thanks for inspiring me to take better shots... I'm going to steal some of your ideas next time out. :)

Wow I am humbled by your comment :) I just take a lot of pics and some turn out well.

I did meet John MacLean in Rathskeller yesterday I n Franklin. He has some amazing shots and gave me an impromptu photography lesson. The universe works in amazing ways.

Here's his website his cloud/sun shots are so good.
