My choice is a ULA CDT. For 20 lbs total . It can creep higher if I have to carry more water , resupply. But mostly 20lbs or less. What are you using ?

Older model (2014) ZPacks ArcBlast 52L. Don't even know it's there at that weight.

Mld burn would probably be my choice or the granite gear virga but it has alot of room in it.

20 lbs of low volume gear is not the same as 20 lbs of higher volume gear. In my case I got the volume way down so an MLD Burn has been my pack of choice since 2010.

I'm using a ZPacks Arc Haul. Takes some configuring to be comfortable for each individual, but it carries the weight well. My pack always feels heavy when I lift it off the ground but I don't notice it much on my back. I'm still getting used to it, but I like it.

I have a HMG Black Summit.

I use my Bug Baffler headnet on the outside under the stretch cord lacings, for rain or wet gear. I carry the smaller size water bottles on the shoulder straps. I have a Hammock Gear Burrow 20 quilt and Xtherm sleep system I use with TiGoat Bug Bivy and Hammock Gear Diamond Asym cuben tarp, if I am not using my Grand Trunk Nano hammock on that trip. I just use a windshield sun screen, instead of an underquilt, if I use the Nano hammock.

I repackage food.

All said, it carries 18-20 lbs comfortably.

Z packs zero works great for me. You have to pack it right, but that's easily learned. Just over half a pound with the features I wanted and nothing else. Simplicity at its finest.

Gossamer Gear Gorilla (if I might need to carry more weight at times) or Kumo.

Love my Gorilla. Up to 25 to start a five day trip.

Just wish it had an inside key/wallet pocket. I need to research how to do this.
