View Full Version : shuttles in Vermont
My hike this year will start near Bennington, Vermont and ends around Hanover, New Hampshire. I am driving up to Bennington.
I will need a ride back to my car. Are there any regular shuttlers there somewhere? A quick search oof "Vermont shuttle" here didn't reveal any.
The shuttle you are asking for is about 100 miles and a 2 hour trip - sounds expensive.
Plan B would be take a bus from Hanover to Killington, then spend the night at the Inn at the Long Trail,
then take a bus from Killington to Bennington in the morning.
Here's the bus https://www.vttranslines.com/bus-schedules/.
Good Luck

You could give Dave Ackerman a try. He's in North Adams, MA. I'd type in his number, but I can't find my phone at the moment. Google AT shuttle list. There's a big 15 page PDF listing of shuttlers arranged from Georgia to Maine.

you're probably looking at $100-$150 for a shuttle, and you probably won't know your exact/date time to book it in advance, so I would second the suggestion for the bus and inn at long trail. Inn at long trail has reasonable rates, or free camping across the street, a nice pub, and vermont buses are very cheap
Thanks guys!! Sounds like a plan. I like buses. I like cheap. Based on past years, the shuttle would have been at least $200. The bus plus the overnight is much cheaper.
Contact GMC (Green Mountain Club) -- they were extremely helpful for me in arranging shuttles on the LT. Very fast and useful response to my email queries.
