This is welcome news.

My Facebook feed has Andrew Skurka.

He had this announcement.

I really like my ShangriLa 3. I welcome this development.

Meh. I'm sure some people will be happy to see the Chrome Dome back. But nothing else here looks interesting or especially light, and there is no shortage of cottage manufacturers making innovative, lightweight stuff.

The fact that they have a tab still looking for investments is a bit unappealing also. After bankrupting one company, I am not sure how confident I would be in investing a large chunk of money in this. I agree with Burger that there are plenty of other places to get similar (better?) gear.

I was underwhelmed as well. The chrome dome user have found multiple alternatives based on the Euroschirm umbrella. My UL first pack was a jam and I had that stripped down under a pound. Incredible to see that weighing in at almost 2lbs on their site.

The chrome dome never left. Golite sourced it from euroschirm. You can get one today cheaper than mytrailco is going to sell it....

I saw this site and read an interview with the owner about a year ago. It doesn't appear to have changed.
