View Full Version : Dicks Creek to Winding Stair Gap or NOC Car Plan
Can someone help with the best plan on where to leave my car on my two section hike options.
1. Dicks Creek pulling out at Franklin area. Shuttle is not a problem. Where is best/safe place to leave my car?
2. Dicks Creek to NOC? Will they let you leave car at NOC??

You are welcome to leave a car at our motel friend, It is also free of charge..

Yes, you can leave a car at the NOC. Check first and find out where they want you to park long term on campus. Sometimes the location varies depending what's going on. I left my vehicle up near base camp for two days over the Memorial Day weekend. :)

Twice, I have left my truck at the NOC for a week of hiking. Once it was my starting point, and I got a shuttle ride back to it. The second time, it was my finishing point, and I took a shuttle to my starting point (dick's creek gap).
There was no charge, but I did have to register or whatever you may want to call it, and put the slip on the dash board.
