This is not a ISO - WTB thread

I want a button down shirt to be worn while backpacking, not a camp shirt

1 chest pocket
Plaid (prefer Green)
Quick drying (no cotton)
Prefer Large Tall as I am 6'4"
price is not a huge concern
short sleeve

no pearl buttons

Some of the quick drying button up ones I like are Cabela's Brand.

Not plaid but the rei Sahara button up has been good but its long sleeve(sleeves roll up and button)...I like the button up as it's easy to vent when hot rather than stopping to take off shirt..also good layer under a wind jacket when it's cold. If it's mainly for hot weather id probably go with a short sleeve. I recently bought an icebreaker Tech t but prefer the Sahara button up synthetic over the wool.

REI and Patagonia carry shirts like this. My own favorite hiking shirt is Railriders Ecomesh (not matching your description); Railriders has some other shirts that may suit your needs.

I like the Magellan shirts Academy has. They are just like the Columbia PFG shirts I have but cost less.

Not sure about just one chest pocket though. Most of mine have pocket on each side. They come in all colors.

Academy has many other brands. Or the one by my house does. They had a new brand I've never heard the other day. Simms. A little expensive but they had some nice looking shirts in a quick dry type material.

Sir Pendleton is my hands-down favorite for hiking and wearing to the office. Lightweight merino wool raised, dyed, and woven in the Pacific Northwest, seen in Mexico. Amazon often has them for less than half of list price.

EMS has had some 50% off sales going for a few weeks now due to some stores closing, you can pick up a 100% button up nylon for about 30 bucks. I have a few of these and they wear well.
