Shuttle Cost??

I really need to knock out Dicks Creek to Fontana before August. It may take a few trips. Anyone know what it will cost for a shuttle from NOC back to Dicks Creek or Fontana back to Franklin?

Look up road mileage and multiply by 1.5- $2 per mile and you will be in ballpark

Or, call a shuttle provider and ask. Prices change with gas cost.

Muddy Waters' suggestion to contact shuttlers is a good one. I've found that prices different shuttlers charge can vary a lot. Here is a link to the ATC's list of shuttlers:

Jeff Hoch at the Hike Inn @ fontana is the closest to there and has shuttled for about 22-23 yrs or so, and over a million safe miles.

Accident and ticket free. He is proud of this.

He wiil also go over the trail with you on the way, piece by piece.. He has a speech of sorts. Where to find water when its hot and dry, etc. Not all the newer people that shuttle have trail knowledge, many have zero.

+1 on Jeff and Nancy at the Hike Inn. I have shuttled with them twice, most recently last month, and they have been friendly. Informative, and reliable both times. Definitely top notch.
