PCT to be rerouted through Tijon ranch

Saw this on the news today:

Looks like they are going to relo 37 miles or something like that.
Should be a nice relo and get the trail off that aqueduct, where you hear the water below you, but can't have any.

Man, this has been talked about for so long. Unfortunately the article doesn't really mention a timeline for this.

As I recall this was some of the hottest hiking of my entire PCT hike. I left Hikertown at 3:00 AM and thought I was going to burn up before I got to the cache at the bridge.
