JMT: Thousand Island Lakes: Aug 7 - 11

Hello!

I was hope the group here can answer a few questions for me on an upcoming trip. I will be leaving Devils Postpile and hiking towards Thousand Island Lakes for a few days then coming back. I was curious about the Day/Night temps and also about the mosquitoes. Other tips will be appreciated as well!! thanks for your help.

mosquitos maybe in spots

mosquitos are bad around meltoff, then they get just spotty. They will be nonexistant for most part late in summer, but certain spots with water might be pretty bad sporadically.

Based on photographs made by Mr. Adams in books that I own, there is only one Thousand Island Lake. By all means go as far as the lake. Enjoy the view. Hopefully the lake level is higher this year than in recent years.
