Clark Double V -vs- Vertex

I am a renter and my husband is a hammocker. I have been toying with the idea of trying a hammock but my husband and I are very heavy people. VERY heavy. We were looking at possibly combining our sleep system and getting a 2-man hammock if we can find one that will hold us both and the Clark hammocks look like a pretty good option. I believe the Vertex is only 2.6lbs. That's lighter than my UL tent and its lighter than his Eno double nest.

Hoping to get some experience reviews here. Anyone use either of these? Anyone super heavy? Please provide any feedback you think would enlighten us.
