I'm planning a hike from Dicks Creek to Rock Gap. Probably looking at Thursday - Sunday. Just a couple of questions.
Doable in 3 days (36 miles)?
What's the parking situation at Rock Gap?
I think that's it....for now.

Doable? Sure. I would suggest staying at Bly Gap or Muskrat Creek Shelter night one, then at Betty Creek Gap night two.
Parking is a small lot right on the trail. Not sure of safety, and I have never seen a car parked there.

I believe that lot is pretty safe. Lots of vehicles pass by on the way to and from SI campground. I have stayed there several times in the past with no issues. The lot is not remote. That hike would probably be too much for me in three days. The climb after the state line is a booger. If you could, can you give us a trail and water report when you get back? Thanks and have a great hike. :)
