Um, what? For the sake of argument, let's say this works and eating crotch-heated-food doesn't bother you. This would be wildly uncomfortable right? Has anyone ever used one of these?

That's amazing. It clearly is an April Fool's joke (based on the 'detailed article' link), but they went to great lengths. The attached images even appear to be illustrated by Mike Clelland (author and/or illustrator of several lightweight backpacking books).

Ah, didn't click on the link. They sure did but a lot of effort into that joke.

Worth noting, there is a review from last month. I hope that's a joke too.

I recommended such a thing to a person who wanted to go stoveless but didn't like the food cold. I think they must have tried this as it does make some sense to get food above stream temperature and I will be expecting yhe royalty check payment in the next few weeks.

I use to put power bars in my cycling shorts during the winter to get them soft enough to eat.

Food warm in crotch, alcohol under arm pit. Other items in your fanny pack. ;)

Could be used to keep your filter from freezing too!

Couldn't have made the powerbars taste any worse than they already did...

the "review" was dated March 31st but all the comments were from April 1.
I like this line :
" You can knead the meal (discretely) while walking to make sure things are mixing well"

Put some in a pack to eat skiing 25 yrs ago.
Once.
Was uneatable, and not very good to boot.
