Hi. I Googled this, but the link to WhiteBlaze (http://whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?t=31293) no longer works.

I'd like to find information about the total elevation gain/loss per state, NOBO and SOBO. I have a guide to the Colorado Trail that specifies gain/loss by "segment" — would love to have something like this for the AT, too, if it's available.

Just finished my 2016 thru hike this week, GA>VT<ME.

Thanks.

I should add that Table Two is where you will find the state by state breakdown and the elevation gain and loss is expressed as feet of gain or loss per mile hiked.

And thanks for linking to this, Dogwood.

Well, today is grand day. I still have a long way to go to break even with you sir. TU for all the awesomeness you share here. I owe much of the wonderful experiences on the SHT to your beta and opinions. :)

Thanks for all the references. This is very helpful.

Lucky for me - or not? - I descended Old Blue SOBO, but I slackpacked that brutal half mile up Wildcat Ridge NOBO. Yikes!
