looks like the space age has met the bear canister.....i'm just curious. This summer the oldest daughter and I will either visit
Yellowstone or Olympic NP....and I think a canister is required for a backcountry permit.....

Doesn't the Park Service rent them to hikers?

but that particular bear canister is not NPS approved yet, but I would rather pay for it than carry the Garcia model which is a pound heavier (I think)......
