Has anyone else had issues using the pedometer on the iPhone 6? Today I went for a training hike. At the turnaround point my iPhone said I had walked 4.8 miles. OK so when I finish I will have done 9.8 miles, so I will walk around the parking lot a few times to get the extra .2 miles. Imagine my disappointment when I get to my apt parking lot and the pedometer says I walked 7.2 miles. Where the heck is the other 2.6 miles???? Does my speed affect the supposed mileage????
Thanks

I have not found the iPhone ped. to be accurate, it however is a rough guideline that is better than nothing as it gives you some idea of distance.

Have you tried Argus in Walking mode against a measured course? Results are recorded in miles. Battery drain is horrible.

The fitbit one is very accurate. Or use gps and apps like walkmeter, gaigps.

The pedometer on the iPhone 6 is nor accurate, and I'd suggest you to buy a professional one.

I use to use the fit bit but when driving or riding a motorcycle it is NOT accurate at all and will add steps and mileage that way. I stopped using the Fitbit because of that. But was thinking of trying the Iwatch but don't know if that is any more accurate
