I'm out on the trail so much that...when my GF really wants my attention she'll refer to me as Dogwood or DW.

Same in Wyoming...actually I've witnessed all 4 seasons in less than 2 hours on the mountain.

I don't fret over my gear and only engage in conversations in gear if asked a question.

I know where the Knorrs section is in every Dollar general and grocery chain.

My stuff has sort of a built in odor to it.

I get 7 weeks of vacation a year. 3 more years and I get 8 weeks a year. I spend most of that time in the woods or on the river.

I'm out on trail so much that I can't sleep when indoors any more. Opening all the windows and playing a "nature sounds" CD helps a little.

Sometimes I see both sides within an hour or so. Usual down hill first, then back up hill.

Gee, I'm truly just a weekender, and even I do that (not the Companion, I work with some lesser trails). Take careful notes and GPS logs, and bug the hiking club people with enough corrections, and pretty soon you'll find them bugging you.
