Pretty good for the $$....No it's not a Montbell...[emoji16]
I bought the vest few years back and turned into my pups sleeping bag.....http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161106/8c3bb0effeeaaafdf77f04b59f9aa3d8.jpg

My wife bought a woman's version of this at Costco last year and carries it a lot on our hikes, even though she owns a couple of Montbell UL jackets. She saves the Montbell jackets for weight-critical backpacks, uses the Costco on non-weight critical hikes/short backpacks.

I missed out on this last time. So ready to buy. Is it on the website? At the store? I take it that I have to wait until November 18th?

Looked and couldn't find it on the website. I guess it will pop up on the sale date?

How's the fit on these? Same as the vests?

I have a vest. Paid $13, they're now $10. I have gotten a lot of use out of it already. It weighs 8.4 oz and takes up 1.9L in stuff sack (men's L). (Do the jackets come with stuff sack, either separate or might it stuff into one of its own pockets?).

I definitely want to get one.

Sorry my dog can't talk....[emoji51]he's snug as a bug in a rug inside a large if that helps......on a serious note don't think they are as snug as the montbell jackets but not boxy either.

Since when? Because I was on Costco.com yesterday and it wasn't there.

They're well made have decent fill and are 1/10th the cost of Patagucchi or other high end manufacturers. Certainly worth the buck even if you just toss it in the back of the car as part of an emergency kit.

my wife picked up a womens version, but there were no mens in our store.

You guys are awesome! I had to search for the jacket by name (which doesn't have the word "down" in it which was likely my previous priblem), but it is on its way to me. Thanks!

Got my Women's Down Jacket in the mail yesterday. Weighs a few grams more than my Ex Officio primaloft puffy and whoah buddy is the black printed fabric reminiscent of 1990s stonewashed denim, but it will do. It will do nicely. And the stuff sack was a lovely touch.

theinfamousj does it get that gamey smell like the reviews state? My wife was looking at getting one but is in the fence because of that.

It hasn't yet. It has only been two days, and I am a good caretaker of down (I won't get it wet, I will fluff it and air it regularly, I don't store it compressed) so I doubt it will. Gamey smell sounds like someone sweat into the down and then stored it compressed.

But I will report back if anything changes.

I don't think they are going to have the men' jacket in the store. I noticed my flyer says Costco.com only. free shipping and 19.99 price so still the same price as buying the womens in the store. You just don't get to try them on for fit.

Yesterday they had tall sizes and 4 colors; today they have 3 colors and no tall sizes. Any idea if the tall sizes were a mistake? I wouldn't think this is the kind of item, at this price, that would ever have come in tall in the first place, but now I wish I had snapped it up (no risk buying from Costco).

well it does look like they HAD tall sizes. Gone very quickly, as is anything below XL. This sale item only went on sale yesterday; is it safe to assume that they're not likely to replenish inventory anytime soon? I'm coming to understand that if you see something on sale at Costco that you MIGHT want, you'd better buy it right then and there, because you're not likely to see it again for a long time, if ever.

I was in our Costco Friday morning and they did not have these in the store.

The website shows that the item is out of stock completely.

Glad I ordered one (XL) even if not in my preferred size (L-tall). Maybe they'll come back with more later. That SOMETIMES happens. The down quilts are back after the HF made a coast-to-coast run on them.
