quick section hike with brother. Curious what water situation might be. Have hiked AT in October a few times before, and the water runs low. But never gone after this much drought.

I live about 10 miles from Stecoah Gap and, while I don't know how the springs are running up there, there are multiple fires burning throughout the region at the moment and you should probably check with the Forest Service before heading out.

I did this section in August. Brown Fork Gap was a trickle and Cody Gap was dry as a bone. We got lucky about .5 from Yellow Creek Gap with a flow. I wouldn't think it would be a reliable source. From there we hit a small flow at Cable Gap Shelter and from there it was dry until Fontana Dam.
