Hiking N from Deep Gap - Trail Cond.

Two friends and I are hiking North into NC from Deep Gap. Does anyone have information on the availability of Water Sources, as well as if Wildfires are encroaching on the trails?

And I assume the Fire Ban is in effect during the wildfires as well
