I'm a data science student working on collecting some information. If you've hiked the AT and keep track of simple things, e.g. mile marker start and end points, pack weight, days spent on trail, bmi, etc., then I would love to steal a few seconds of your time.
I am hoping to collect some data that I can use to solve a combinatorial optimization problem for a research project. If there are other forums people know of that could be of any more help to me, I would greatly appreciate any directions.

Thanks!

As an engineer I am curious. Care to elaborate on your project?
