Turkey Day is Tomorrow!

Anyone going out for a turkey trot tomorrow after the big meal? Since most of our families expect us to be around, or we volunteer at a homeless shelter, or something like that I doubt many will get in any serious miles, so focus on ELEVATION. :P

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, oh, and see you on the trails on Black Friday. I'm shooting for 15 miles then. Then back to my mom's for pie and turkey Manhattan.

I'm hoping to get in at least 4 miles tomorrow morning - 2 loops hiking on the mountain bike "trail" nearby. Not 100% I'll get it done as we are headed to an early movie before coming home for ribeyes!

Not here in Asheville, the air quality is so bad. I will never ever like the smell of campfires after this. Visibility was about 1/4 mile today near my home.

I will likely run 10-12 miles in late afternoon...if Im awake
Just a 1.8 mile loop around my flat -as-a-pancake neighborhood..over...and over..and over. If it sounds boring , thats because it is. Ive literaly dozed off running, run into cars and mailboxes occassionally .Much rather be on a trail.

Soon.:)

Turkey season ended a few weeks back, it's deer season now. :D

Yes, local turkey trot Thursday early morning 5K. Short but then again I am still a radiation patient (6 more times, yeah). Not sure about after that this weekend. Might hike Friday morning somewhere local. Elevation gains will be minimal.

We go out as a family so how far we go is determined by her. We also cant do elevation.

We have figured out how to squeeze in extra steps though. She has a wheeled walker. Turn it around and shr can be pushed in it. When she gets tired of walking she sits down. We either go a little farther or go back to the car. Her call.

I will get in a few miles pheasant hunting been kinda tradition for us. I would guess up to 8. But the longest trail around here is a deer trail.

Thr first line should read. We go out as a family. My mom is disabled so how far we go is determined by her.

No trotting today, but will try to get in a mile, maybe two tomorrow. There's been far too much sitting in front of the computer or the TV. Tomorrow is a day to start walking regularly again.
