Baxter Park is independently funded and our camping fees provide vital support toward protecting and preserving the Park. We are changing our fee structure slightly as follows, beginning at the start of the summer 2017 (May 15) season:

Summer
Campground Lean-to or Tentsite $32/site
Backcountry Lean-to or Tentsite $21/site
Bunkhouse $12/person
Group Area $8/person (minimum $48)
Cabin; 2-person $57/site
Cabin; 3 person $78/site
Cabin; 4 person $105/site
Cabin; 6 person $135/site
Canoe/Kayak $2/hour
Non-resident Entrance Fee $15
Non-resident Season Pass $42
Day Use Parking Reservation $5
Firewood Bundle $3

Yup. Opening day in person is 1/14, two res per person. Rolling reservations begin the next day, 1/15 is the first day for 5/15 reservations, ect.

Itinerary is ro try to make it to him wypond on day one, spend 3 nights and hope for good summit weather, hit Hamlin and Baxter. Most likely ski to Roaring Brook as usual but depending on conditions might Fat Bike to RB. Snowshoe to chimney Pond.

Sly....did they change the fee for long distance hikers stay at The Birches.?

The Birches remains $10. per person, one night only, northbounder from at least Monson, through Oct 22nd.

Sounds like fun! Snow probably too deep for fat bike tires. Call HQ for up-to-date trail conditions.
