Looking for update on water availability in Georgia and NC. I have chance to do quick 4-5 day hike next week (say 40 -50 miles). I live in Florida and will drive up with my son. Can anyone identify a good stretch between Amicalola and Hot Springs where there is water and the trail is open for hiking? Thanks!

I don't have a water report but the AT is still closed between Dick's Creek Gap (GA) and Murry Gap (NC). Definitely check the ATC site to see if/when this opens.

FWIW, I was up at Woody Gap today doing a short walk up to Preaching Rock. I was encouraged by the amount of moisture in the soil. Hopefully it bodes well for the creeks and springs.
