hey i will be in for supporting that! warrens odds for sub40 were 300-1......
its only 72.5 miles per day.....................
i did once ponder over how long it would take a relay of the worlds top ultra runners to cover the trail non stop! with about 10 people in the relay running/resting i think 2 weeks is very much attainable. i would love to get that one up and running!

I'm no world class ultra but I'd be in for a couple of legs! :)
I think AOL with Backpacker Mag, and some journalist (there's a book) each had a relay event in '95.
Then, more recently, there was "Hands Across the Trail" or "the HATT Hike" organized by Pittsburgh where sections of trail were divided into a 3-day hikes with each participant shaking hands at the beginning or end of their respective hikes.
