Hi forrest here I just signed up for REI's all day thru hike seminar on February 4th was wondering if any other of this year's thru hikers are attending
Hi forrest here I just signed up for REI's all day thru hike seminar on February 4th was wondering if any other of this year's thru hikers are attending If it wasn't a 5 hour drive I would probably go, past events have been given good reviews.
My class is Sunday. Will letcha know how it goes.

Pretty good seminar. Lots of talk about gear and best practices. Good advice on budgeting and itinerary.

At the REI class I went to he said that you can bring your pack in anytime and they would be happy to go through it with you.

Hi Tommy, Hope you will have fun and learn a lot. I did a misstake several years ago when I started a long trail without the basic camping skills. Now I know that you need some tips and trick from an instructor if you want a good start. Even better if you with that help know where to find the best places nearby.

Well thd class was excellent covered everything from first aid kits to coffee to resupply answer all our question and stayed over 2 hours after to work with individuals great job
