Is there any cell service between Amicalola and Neels gap?

When I did that section last fall I had reception at Hawk Mountain shelter, on top of Sassafras Mountain, and top of Blood Mountain. Didn't really try it anywhere else. Carrier is Verizon

With verizon, I dont recall ever not having service when turned phone on. Simple answer....plenty .

There are dead spots with Verizon for sure. Amicalola, springer, hawk, blood mtn, and neel gap have service for sure though.

I had spotty cell service with AT&T. Nothing at the gooch shelter. There was one spot at the Hawk Mountain shelter everyone was congregating in where you can get a signal. If you're on a Ridgeline or Overlook, you can usually get a signal.

I had no issues with Verizon.
