I am considering using the JRB Shenandoah Universal Blanket for two purposes:

first, at the beginning of my trip I will use it as an underquilt for my HH ultralite A-sym. My sleeping bag is a Golite feather, 20 deg (and very warm for that rating). Once it warms up I plan on sending the Golite bag back and purchasing a cheap CCF pad for insulation and using the JRB shenandoah for my primary insulation.
Will I be warm enough?

By "beginning of my trip" do you mean a thru? When are you leaving? Those will probably be the biggest factors, but it also depends on how you sleep.

Personally, I sleep pretty cold so I can get to around freezing with my Nest under the HH. I wouldn't risk being on the trail with less insulation than that if freezing conditions are possible.

Someone else here on WB, Medicine Man maybe, has made it to about freezing in the Shenandoah. Maybe he could comment on how comfortable he was and if he sleeps warm or cold.

Have you had any trouble wriggling into your Feather inside the hammock?
