Any ideas for safest parking for a month or so?

The Visitors Center at Rockfish Gap would be a good place to begin your search.
They are at the top of the hill at the lower end of the Afton Inn parking lot.

They're on the east side of Waynesboro, just down from Rockfish Gap. I had no problem parking there for three days. I don't know about a MONTH, but I'd rather park there than leave a vehicle at this parking lot:

A few years ago this former HoJo looked like a set for The Walking Dead, and I doubt it's gotten any better since then.

Yeah, I didn't know that the visitors center was in that lot...I thought it was all abandoned buildings and a hot dog/ popcorn truck when I was there in December.

Maybe it's perfectly safe but it sure doesn't look great.

Hot dogs are fantastic though. Highly recommend.

The Walking Dead movie set is still alive and kicking...pun intended. :D

The YMCA in town is another possibility to consider if the other options fall through.

Let me clarify ; the Visitors Center parking lot is next to the center itself which is on top of the hill. Lighted area on the side of the building.
