Looking for a removable D ring I can add to a MLD prophet daisy chain so I can attach water bottle mitton hook as my ula circuit had...having trouble finding one...worst case I can just attach a loop of cord but it's easier to attach to a solid hook.

Thx...Franco I forgot about quest...surprisingly they don't have one...SB yea I'm familiar w biners...a small piece of zline will work fine as it's just something to hook a mitton hook onto to hold water bottles on shoulder strap....I didn't care for the pouches MLD or Zpacks offers..

Could you use something like this?

You can attach this to either 3/4" or 1" webbing straps.

The D ring can be oriented in multiple directions.

It can also be removed easily.

Search Dutchwares DIY Accessories Page Here: http://www.dutchwaregear.com/diy-stuff/hardware/plastic-hardware/

This has lots of options for hardware to attach to Shock Cord. S-Biners (Smallest I have ever found) is on another page in the Website. Because he is well known on HammockForums.net... we forget about him on Whiteblaze.

Yea I looked...think I'll just tie a loop of cord around daisy chain for mitton hook to attach.

Salty, that is the way the lower bottle holder is attached on the ULA. The upper one is the cord that is looped through a D-Ring.

To me, the key is a micro cord lock to "cinch" down on the bottle to hold it against the strap.

Yellow Ula ones never held good for me but I hear the Gatorade bottles hold better. I used the lower ula ones on my circuit but used a piece of cord with a mitton hook that clipped to stock d ring on daisy chain for top of bottle. The micro cord (xtra small)locks and what size shock cord?

Try the following ideas that attach to typical webbing used on many packs (they have other colors if you search):
Amazon - Multipurpose D-Ring Grimloc Locking for Molle Webbing (https://www.amazon.com/OneTigris-Multipurpose-Grimloc-Locking-Webbing/dp/B00PLNK0LK/ref=pd_sim_200_4?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00PLNK0LK&pd_rd_r=C71Z4RM9BQ3X7BV9XSF7&pd_rd_w=wLika&pd_rd_wg=C2r8z&psc=1&refRID=C71Z4RM9BQ3X7BV9XSF7)
Amazon - 360 Rotation D-ring Clips (https://www.amazon.com/OneTigris-Tactical-Rotation-Attachment-Backpacks/dp/B00WSP4UYC/ref=pd_sim_200_6?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00WSP4UYC&pd_rd_r=C71Z4RM9BQ3X7BV9XSF7&pd_rd_w=wLika&pd_rd_wg=C2r8z&psc=1&refRID=C71Z4RM9BQ3X7BV9XSF7)

Thicker Shock Cord and a Thicker Micro Cord Lock, not the extra small ones. It is fairly thick yellow shock cord and is "Clamped" at the ends after it passes through the Cord Lock. Here is a picture (shows better than I can explain)
38099

It also loops through the Daisy Chain on Bottom and through the Loop that holds the D-Ring on top; not actually through the D-Ring. Of course it can be DIY'ed any way you would like. I hold Larger Smart Water Bottles with mine and never have an issue. Gatorade Bottles do hold better because the cord slips into a groove that's part of the bottle.

Hope this helps... Fun to really examine gear, was better made than I gave it credit!

I removed top cords and used mitton hooks to attach water bottle to the D ring and used bottom yellow to secure..

Interesting change to the mitton hook. I actually figure 8 and double loop around the smart water bottle neck and that really holds it in place. Love multiple options to get a job done! :banana
