I am looking for a couple waterproof compression stuff sacks (one for sleeping bag/hammock/UQ and the other for clothes).

All of the models I have come across seem to share the same profile as far as shape and height to width ratio.

Have any of you ever come across a stuff sack that is shorter and wider? Ideally something that would be roughly the same dimensions of a pack.

Thinking this would go a long way to make better use of the pack without having a bunch of volleyballs to jam in.

Also, I am aware that you can use a compactor bag, but my pack (Mystery Ranch Sphinx) doesn't lend well to that option. Even if it did, I'm not to find of that route anyway.

Thanks!

You want to look for an oval or rectangular pack liner dry sack. Look at Sea to Summit and Zpacks to start with.

Scroll down to "medium dry bag" http://www.zpacks.com/accessories/dry_bags.shtml

YW...although some folks aren't too pleased with the durability of Cuben Fibre sacks...just sayin...
