So I was gifted a jetboil minimo which has a 1 liter pot. I usually cook for 2 in a 2 liter pot, and am skeptical that the minimo at 1 liter has enough volume to adequately feed 2 hungry people. Can someone that has the minimo chime in on the capacity?
Also, I don't just rehydrate with boiling water - so I'm cooking lots of food in the pot.
Thanks!:banana

Minimo is great for one person that heats water. Cooking enough for 2, in the pot... I'd suggest a larger set up.

Can you just get 2L pot to use instead of the 1L ?

My two cents . . . If you're cooking in the pot for two people, I'd probably prefer the wider and shorter 1.5 L pot (http://www.jetboil.com/Accessories/1-5L-Cooking-Pot/)to the taller and narrower 1.8 L pot, having a Sumo pot and not liking how hard it is to cook in a tall skinny pot.

Do you use a jetboil?

Whenever I go with my wife or brother-in-law, we use a jetboil (or two in winter). I love my minimo. It is much hotter than my flash and the minimo also simmers pretty well. On my own, I play around with no-cook, or alcohol (fancy-feast is current favorite) or esbit, or a BRS3000T. For whatever reason, on bicycling trips, even solo, I often take my jetboil for speed and ease of use, since a little extra weight isn't as much of a deal on my bike.

I found a mini Moe at the REI garage sale for $20. The actual burner had some melted plastic, but the Cup itself was in perfect condition.

:) I've been looking at one of those. Right now we section hike with two different cooking systems as my wife is playing around with them and for experimenting it isn't that much more weight to have two (a couple more ounces) and it makes it easier for us to cook enough for two people. I've been getting ready to try "going large" so we can use one system for two of us easily.

The large size cup used to be more than the $59ish price, so that might sway her over her desire for trying a larger titanium pot for the alternate rig. Been a lot of fun since we can cook two different things at the same time though.

For cooking it will be tough, and the jetboil system does not excel at it, though it is possible and part of the redesigned minimo burner. It does excel as a weight efficient rapid boil system for 2 hikers looking to mostly heat/boil water often, and a rapid boil system for 1 hiker, and for a hiker looking to be out for long stretches without resupply.

You might consider looking into freezer bag cooking

Thanks for the input - I did some comparisons to my other cookware and the minimo is definitely too small.
The 1.8 liter sumo or the shorter gcs pot would probably work, but I couldn't rationalize keeping the jetboil as my current canister stove setup with 2 liter pot is substantially lighter and allows me to easily cook for two people.
