I use a MacCat Deluxe, so I'm guessing that's a pup tent setup.

Both, depending on which tarp I'm using.

Hey tree hangers crowd.
I'm new to all this, so take it easy on me.
I plan to "try" and use my "integral design silshelter" as a canopy for my just purchased HH Expedition ASYM. Not sure how it will guy out, but I'd like to give it a try.
Any thoughts??

you should be able to make it work... how much does it weigh? you may find a lighter alternative in the future, as you experiment.

I use mainly a modified A-frame (what Icall it,anyway)

The front is staked down traditionally (A-Frame), the end is stake down flat.

This pic shows it best:

Of course, Rock has an excellent tarp setup page:

I had to vote other,
any tarp and any shape will do.
all depends on the wind direction and the rain.
