Looking into renting a car leaving Illinois around March 6th-ish.
Just seeing if anyone would want to link up or if anyone else is planning on driving thru Illinois and has an extra seat.
I have a backpack and money! :D

on march 6 you can take amtrack champaign to chicago 7:00 pm 15$
mega bus to atlanta, midnight 59 $ - if you wait till the 8th 40$
picked up, lodged brought to trail 80$
might take a bit longer, but less money and less hassle then rental pick up / drop off etc

I might have to end up going that route, I've always drove everywhere but it might be time to expand my traveling experience.

We rented a car and dropped at Atlanta airport. Took Marta train to north side of Atlanta,picked up by Hiker Hostel,spent one night there,they took us to trailhead next day. Painless. Very nice people. Rental car from Des Moines Iowa to ATL only 159.00.
