Hey y'all,
Wondering if anyone knows the status of water between Unicoi Gap and Standing Indian mountain? Enough for a hiker and two dogs? Also, is parking for 3 nights safe at Unicoi Gap? Thanks!

parking should be safe there. seems like a heavily trafficked highway parking lot.

I am thinking of this section april 14

Parking is safe at Unicoi. Never heard of an issue there. Well travelled road.

As for water, I have heard that all GA water sources are flowing sufficiently at the moment. Muskrat Creek Shelter has very good water year round. Not sure about Standing Indian Shelter.

I'm not sure about your observations regarding all Ga water sources...some folks who started thru hikes and post their journals on Trailjournals.com have reported no water flowing at Woods Hole shelter and the water source right before the climb up Blood Mountain (Slaughter Gap?). This was as of about a week or so ago. :)
