My son and I are coming down in a week to hike from NOC to Fontana Dam. We'd like to park at Fontana and get a ride down to NOC on Friday night or Saturday morning. Does anyone have advice on:
a) Safe parking at Fontana Dam
b) a reliable ride

parking at the damn is as safe as it gets (federally protected, potential terrorist target)

Thank you, George. I've ridden with Jeff before and found him to be reliable, knowledgeable, and genuine is his concern for our trip. In fact, I've contacted him already! Just in case he and Nancy can't do it, I'm wondering if there are other reliable rides to contact.

entrance / exit of the AT at the smokies must not be healthy - Curtis and Jeff
website still shows both owners?
they work/cooperate with other shuttlers so you likely will not need a back up
if you are shopping price you may do better - the rates were fair but not cheap
