Monday night/Tuesday a large and powerful Noreaster is coming to parts of the North East. We are due East of the Doyles in Duncannon (PA) and we are to get 1-2 inches per hour of snow during the storm. What is the prediction for the storm in your area?

Was above freezing last week, down to single digits this week, maybe another foot or so of snow next week... so basically winter. I don't like to complain about winter too much because then the Canadians will mock us.

Its still Winter, in spite of the spell of unseasonably warm temps the last two weeks. Storms happen, and typically late Winter storms are pretty epic.

Probably about the same as you since I also live due east of Duncannon. :)

Best post ever, eh?
75-80 here and I can't wait to get to the cooler temps on the trail. Hopefully see snow but I'll take anything in the teens. I'm weird like that tho, love and miss my cold weather and snow.

I never put the shovels away in March; that's just asking for trouble.

When I was just a sprout in western MA we got one of these March storms. I was attempting to clear the driveway after the plows cleared the street. I slipped and fell on the snow shovel handle. Broke my collarbone. The last time I touched a snow shovel.

Well, I got Kahtoola Microspikes for X-mas, so I'm pretty sure I put the jinx on any real snowstorms for this year. They are still in mint condition. My money is on a bust around here due to above freezing temps. Projected 6-12"

No, it's my fault. I bought a cheap kid's sled to make a DIY pulk for winter camping.... "If you make it, the flakes will come!"

Here on the Connecticut coast it turned to a driving rain an hour ago.....and the maps seem to show it staying that way. 10 miles inland it is snowing like crazy! I wonder what the Elf has?

Here in the Boston burbs, half a foot since 9AM, snow still intensifying and the wind is piping up.

I think I am right on the rain / snow line Rafe. No rain to speak of, but not really snowflakes either. I have about 8 " of icy sleet. I don't think this is going to be fun to shovel.

About a foot here. Snow is mostly done for but wind is still howling. Driveway can wait till tomorrow, I'm not going anywhere today.

Here in the CT hinterlands, I'd say we got at least a foot, probably more. There was considerable drifting, so who knows. I did snowshoe a network of paths for walking my dog; I find post-holing exhausting, and so does she.

With the 30-40 MPH winds bowing the snow sideways all day, hard to say what we got, but when I go out to shovel my driveway in the morning, I bet the drifts will be impressive.

It's all over, It's all over! 25in on the ground drifts to 48+ around cars and trucks and houses, 9 hours with shovel and snowblower yesterday just to keep ahead and hopefully just a hour or two to dig out this AM and it is 16* with the wind chill it feels like 3*. Now that's March Madness! It's all over ! It's all over !
