That's when I board my Amtrak to get me to Gainesville,I've done some sections last year,I think I have a pretty good handle on things, less than 30lbs fully loaded w/h2o😎
This all works in a 50 liter pack,I was reading where someone couldn't fit in a 65, that's kinda beyond me🤔
Well,my point is, I'm freaking PUMPED UP:banana:banana:banana

Good luck, can't imagine the feeling....yet.

The feeling is almost surreal,it's like you know you're gonna be leaving everything you know, and heading into the total unknown,it makes my stomach tremble, but it's an exciting feeling,I don't know how I'm supposed to sleep tonight

Awesome. Are you doing a BLOG, or VLOG or will you be checking in anywhere? Best wishes to you.

So you think hiking the AT is going into the totally unknown? There will be some things you're very familiar and other things that will be 100% new.

It would be appreciated if you recorded your excitement levels during your entire hike here on WB.

Hike update, today I'm in Gatlinburg and I'm taking a zero,I pulled a calf muscle going over Jacobs ladder,so I decided it best to rest it a bit. Things have been interesting to say the least, meet new people on a near daily basis. The weather has been variable to day the least from severe storms to nearly a foot of snow drifts at Albert fire tower where somewhere around that point I trailside camped, blizzards conditions that night, more than I thought I'd encounter in Georgia. Still beena cool journey so far,I'll be pressing on tomorrow from newfound gap,my 8 day pass is almost up for the smokies, but I don't think it matters much if you go over. I have at&t and signal is sparse at best out here,I'll post when I can.
I'm a bit of a purist,I hate seeing people leaving garbage at shelter areas,so everyone try and keep it clean.
