I know there's a better term for this, when someone who's walking has a car that can take their pack/luggage, pick them up and take them to lodging/food, etc. I'm working on translating a French guidebook for another trail/route and this is one of the things they mention. Support car, maybe?

In cycling, which your European audience will be more familiar with, it is called a support and gear vehicle, commonly called a SAG or SAG-wagon.

Thanks everyone. I think I'll go with support vehicle for this one. I don't think the term slackpacking would be used for the Camino de Santiago.

They do that a lot in Britain. Try some British sources for their term.

If you need catchy phrasing perhaps a volks-marching group has an interesting title for the support vehicle.
