Hey All,

I was wondering whether or not it is possible to collect patches from towns all along the AT. I thought that would make a lovely souvenir, however, I can't seem to find anything at all about patches along the trail... Not patches that just say "AT" on them, I was thinking of patches that said something like "MONSON" or "DAMASCUS" on them.

And yes, I was a boy scout... I have a bit of an obsession with collecting patches.

TEHCC will present patches to hikers for volunteering for trail maintenance. And I think the trail crews do the same as well.

There is also the AT Passport Book. http://www.atpassport.com/stamp-locations.html
Certain businesses, hostels, and groups will stamp books when hikers visit certain towns or businesses.

I know it's not as localized as you are asking about, but you can buy patches for each state the AT passes through. Here is the link to the pertinent page at the ATC web store:

I think the hut patches and the state AT patches are the most similar to what I was looking for, although the state patches are disappointingly uniform. Thanks guys!

I agree it would be much cooler if each state had its own unique design and color scheme.
