I was planning to do some hikes in Northern Ontario, but the weather looks ugly (lots of rain and highs around 40 or 45), so I'm looking at hitting the AT for a week instead, starting April 29

Any recommendations for a section south of Vermont and ut north of Waynesboro, VA? Have around 6 or 7 days. 15-20 mpd (max 120 total)
I did south from Waynesboro last year around this time

Lookin' for something scenic and suitable for this time of year. Have hiked much of the AT Vermont and north, and some southern sections. Don't want south because of business of the season.

Thought about shenandoah, but with the possible park closures.... that might make it annoying?

Thanks!

Plan Waynseboro nobo, (keep your completion in stack with last year), and if the park closes (it wont by the 29th), you can run up to front royal and head nobo, that's awesome trail for 170 miles or so north from front royal to Duncannon, pa

Thanks Gambit. That is about what I was thinking
Good to know that the trail north from front royal is a decent backup option if there's any issues
