Hi all,
I'm excited to release my app, Big Hike, for free in the App store today. With 4000 waypoints and thousands of miles of data, I hope that you will consider it a complete guidebook for hiking the AT. What makes my app special is that it includes the whole AT, and many many other trails, in one package - no extra downloading needed. Just open the app and it will instantly tell you where you are in all 14 states.
Several whiteblaze users have already tried out beta versions, but this new release has a very important new feature: the ability to leave comments at waypoints. Sign into the app with Google to activate this feature. Theres a catch though - you have to be standing at the waypoint with your GPS on to leave a comment.

One question I've gotten a lot is about Android. I think I will make an android version, but it won't be ready for this hiking season.
