View Full Version : Shuttles from Damascus, VA to Erwin, TN

I'm a section hiker and will be joined this year by two others. What I'd like to do is park one car in Damascus and another car at Braemar Castle (hostel). Two of us expect to backpack for two weeks from Erwin to Damascus and another one will hike for one week with us and then leave from Braemar Castle while we continue on. Is there a shuttle service who can drive to these points to pick up/deliver us? Thanks!

Depending on your dates, I might be able to help out. I still need to do Spivey to I-40 and could just as easily start from Erwin. Not having to pick a car up from Erwin afterwards would be great.
Although now that I've hit reply I'll suggest starting from Spivey instead. Really nice little section of trail there and nearly all downhill NOBO. I went through earlier this week and saw probably 10 different kinds of mushrooms and a huge eastern fence lizard.

Gotcha, I was thinking a little sooner. Tell me more about this planning ahead I've heard so much about.
