Has anyone experienced problems with their polar pure bottle leaking that brown iodine solution? The first bottle was bad and before I caught it I had brown stains on all my stuff sacks. Then I kept it in a Ziploc bag wrapped in a paper towel and keep the leaking confined. I brought that bottle back to Campmor and was given a new one, but now this bottle is leaking a bit also. It is not nearly as bad as the first one, but I still need to keep it in a Ziploc bag. Should I get another polar pure bottle or am I doing something wrong?

put some teflon tape around the mouth of the bottle.

I've never had problems with leakage.

Don't carry PolarPure any more but when I did I never had a leakage problem. Only time I evenheard of one was when the plastic top got dropped and cracked. I think there is a thin wafer of waxboard or similar in the top that is supposed to maintain the seal. Maybe it has become dislodged or fell out of the lid. I could imagine that causing a leak.
