Painted Blazes: Hiking the Appalachian Trail with Loner

I just got my copy of Jeff "loner" Gray's Painted Blazes: Hiking the Appalachian Trail with Loner and am enjoying the book very much. Loner thru hiked the at in '12 and documented his hike on youtube. Like many I really enjoyed his videos and am enjoying getting an inside look into his hike you did not get with the video's. Jeff is also a great guy and supportive of other thru hikers. He was a great supporter of my 2013 hike with my daughter "sassafras" who was 13 at the time.

Hey Kaboose! Thanks for the nice comments. Fun to hear you liked the book and Sas was excited too. Also thanks to Mama Kaboose for the nice review on Amazon. This book took almost three years to write and hope it entertains, educates, and encourages people to get out and hike. Response has been all good and this whole project has been loads of fun. The best part may be reconnecting with a lot of hikers and trail/mail angles I met during the thru-hike. Many have said that was the best year of their lives.
